So here’s everything you need to know in order to end the season of summer with a body built for your teeniest bikini–all year long!
We’ve decided to list the following 3 tips, so that you can see whether or not, it’s something you can incorporate into your daily life.
1. Be mindful of what you put into your body.
Being mindful can mean so many things!
When you eat, are you sitting quietly and focusing on the nourishing foods you are putting into your body? Remember our last post about mindful eating??? Are you savouring the flavours and textures? Are you doing a million things at the same time while eating? Any of these things can contribute to major stomach issues and can cause indigestion and gas. Being mindful can be as simple as taking the time out to eat and focus on the very act of eating.
2. Rephrase those thoughts.
What are the thoughts that run through your head on a daily basis? You may not even be consciously aware of them. Yet, studies show that we have around 70,000 thoughts, running through our heads every single day! Now, what some of those thoughts could be saying either consciously or subconsciously, is something along the lines of “This doughnut will make me gain weight, but I love it so I’m going to eat it anyway.” Now, if these are some of the thoughts that you seem to recognize yourself saying, it’s time to dig deep, acknowledge them and reframe them into something else that actually makes you feel good. For example, say “This doughnut is delicious and I will eat a piece of it mindfully, while savouring every single mouthful. I will. enjoy it!” This sounds so simple, however you would be surprised at how many of us just go along with our everyday rushed lives and not realize the many thoughts going through our minds. Try it, you may be pleasantly surprised!
3. Essential oils are essential.
Here, at Women’s Gentle Care, Inc., we love essential oils!
Now you may have heard that essential oils are beautiful to smell and that lavender is great for relaxation and sleep, but they are so much more than that. They have been used for centuries and the reason being is that they are potent plant extracts with an abundance of naturally healthy benefits. Moreover, the best essential oils for the stomach include peppermint, ginger and fennel. They’re a great digestive aid! Well, when these are extracted into the oil form, it’s much more potent and naturally sweet and can help support healthy digestion when taken internally in a veggie capsule or glass of water. Please make sure the oils you take are safe for digestion and internal use, as all essential oils and companies are not made for internal digestion. Peppermint is excellent also used internally, as well as when diluted with fractionated coconut oil or avocado oil and massaged on the stomach area. It can relieve feelings of discomfort and be soothing. Ginger is also a well-known remedy for nausea and can be used topically, diluted with a carrier oil over the stomach, or aromatically either straight from the bottle or a few drops on your hands and inhaled.
